Small businesses and home offices usually have a printer. At home, you may use it for events, invitations, to pay bills, type letters, or a variety of other things. At your business you may send invoices, print applications, etc. If you’re using it at home, you may have a small printer that meets all your needs where you rarely have to change the printer toner and ribbon. As a business, you may use more ribbon, toner, and ink. To find a solution, you have to look at your options.

With printer toner and ink cartridges, you can refill them on your own. Most businesses probably don’t want the hassle of filling toner once they run out. Most of the time they buy toner in barrels at a bulk rate to save money. Printing at home, depending on what you doing, is much less wasteful than a business. As a business, it may be easier to look at cheaper solution for toner and ink. It will be better for the environment and cheaper in the long run to buy refilled ink toner cartridges. It could decrease the amount of overhead from printing and also decrease waste in landfills.

Although it may be more convenient to go out and buy new toners, or order a barrel, instead of searching for refilled and recycled ones, each step will help. Most ink cartridges aren’t even half full so the amount of waste is alarming. If the business is in a location like a city, there are drop off places to recycle. You can also take them in to be refilled at a place of your choice (Cartridge World, etc.). When it comes to a business using large amounts of ink and toner, it’s better to think of a long-term plan for recycling and disposing of cartridges correctly.
